Extreme Feed Optimization Comes to Online Stores.

Here it is, syndication of product data from your online store is a beautiful thing resulting in curated content for hundreds of online shopping platforms (Google Instagram, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, etc. ) with data optimization for search, social media, affiliate marketing channels.  This is not an easy thing to do…until now.

Get extreme!  Extreme feed optimization is for any eCommerce business with an online store, and you have the goal of making its products available everywhere.  What we must always keep in mind, is that optimization requirements on your website are NOT the same as optimization on various 3rd party search, social, and marketplace environments.  That’s where Feedonomics really shines.

BigCommerce, with its open SaaS architecture, has announced that it has acquired Feedonomics.  It’s now available to deploy on any BigCommerce site.  It’s currently not a self-service product (so, it will require a good amount work/learning — or you can use an agency partner), but BigCommerce is planning to launch a self-service version next year.

This is a game-changer for any mid to large online store on the BigCommerce platform.  It allows easy integration with countless marketing channels.  Feedonomics on BigCommerce takes advantage of the latest artificial intelligence to market your product database across many (many) marketplace solutions.

The Feedonomics software uses ruled-based integration and AI “FeedAI” for true omnichannel commerce.  FeedAI ™ is significantly more accurate than manual rule-based categorization.  Included in the software are data governance features which are very useful and very important.

Automatically get alerts when new products are added and are not optimized, products aren’t categorized, products are missing critical attributes, and any custom condition in your feed.  Additionally, the “FeedAlerts” feature checks for errors twice a day against any error threshold you set.

BigCommerce Feedonomics current version ROI suggests that we deploy only for stores with $1 million-plus in online revenue.  But, that will change hopefully with the release of the self-service version coming in the next year.

Exciting stuff. 😊

  1. I have been browsing online greater than three hours these days, yet I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It抯 lovely price sufficient for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the web will probably be a lot more helpful than ever before.

  2. Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with SEO? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good success. If you know of any please share. Many thanks!

    1. Hello, yes, there are many different varieties of plugins to help with SEO. On WordPress and other platforms, you’ll also find some built-in SEO features. On WordPress, go to the plugins panel, then type “SEO” in the search bar…you’ll find a ton of choices there. It will really depend on what type of site you have. But, for blogging, I like to use both SEMrush for research prior to writing articles. I’ve been playing around with new software called Outranking that is designed to search keyword ranking as you write your article, and it helps with your outlining. I haven’t used it on this site yet, but it was helpful for a wellness site I was working on. I really like this article from Hubspot about keyword research.
